Curriculum Changes for the 21th Century: Visual Culture in Art Education by K. Freedman and P. Stuhr

In this chapter the writers talk about the changes that have taken place in our world. We now live in a visual world in what borders are being crossed and technology is being used in almost everything we see around us. The world is based on images. Because of this change art education has to change. As the writer says: ‘visual culture is in a continual state of becoming and should be taught as such’.

The things discussed in this chapter are very valuable for my research. The whole chapter is about how the world is changing and what it is changing in to. I can definitely use this to put some things I will read during my research in perspective. I am looking forward to reading more articles/books about this.
