Identity is such a huge topic... but photography is also such a terrific way to explore the idea... An artist you might also be interested in (although he's not contemporary) is Lucas Samaras... lots of very intesting exploration of identity in alot of ways... And I expect that being an exchange student is making you more aware of identity than maybe you would be at home?
